CIT leads the Commonwealth's efforts to increase the flow of federal research funding into Virginia . CIT's Federal Funding Assistance Program identifies and accelerates opportunities for Virginia 's small technology businesses to obtain SBIR, STTR, and ATP awards. They work with hundreds of companies each year, providing training, mentoring, funding analysis, and other critical resources needed to accelerate technology development.
