Elizabeth (Liddy) Karter is a co-founder and Managing Director of the Angel Investor Forum, an organization of private accredited investors whose mission is to provide seed and early stage capital to Connecticut companies. Liddy is also the founder and Managing Director of Karter Capital Advisors. Liddy is a former company CEO and Investment Banker who saw the need for a different perspective in the venture community--one that would balance the dynamics of business execution with the magic of the "Big Idea." Karter Capital was formed to help entrepreneurs reach their goals within an environment of integrity and passion.

Ms. Karter's previous experience includes, President of Resource Recovery Systems. As President, Liddy grew this pioneering recycling operations firm to over 1,000 employees and $20 Million in revenues. Liddy's team established recycling factories in partnership with government entities in Connecticut, New York, Michigan, Florida and Georgia. The business was sold to Casella (NASDAQ: CWST). As founding CFO and Sales Manager of Netkey, Inc, Liddy raised over $15 Million in Institutional venture capital investment. She also spearheaded enterprise software sales to leading financial institutions. Liddy began her career at Morgan Stanley Investment Bank (New York). As a vice president she assisted in over 50 M&A and IPO transactions.

Ms. Karter received her B.A. from Columbia University (New York) in History (New Haven) and resides in Old Lyme, CT with her husband and son.
